The American Cancer Society is currently holding fundraisers for several great items:
The MargaRelayville Team is selling raffle tickets for a Vera Bradley Beach Basket, with items donated by Southbank Specialized Gifts in downtown Jefferson City. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. For tickets, call Sue Porting at 619-7652.

Team Hot Shots is selling Hawaiian Soy Sauce in 24 oz sizes for $3-5. Flavors come in regular or low sodium.
The Best Buy Relay for Life Team is selling raffle tickets for a Samsung Galaxy Tab. Tickets are $1 or 6 for $5. Tickets can be bought at Relay.
May 20 - Bowling for a Cure
Villa Marie Motivators will be having a Bowl-a-thon at Westgate Lanes on May 20th (1st session at noon; 2nd session at 3:30pm). $60 per 4 man team for 3 games. $10 deposit is required to reserve your team and lane. Trophies will be awarded to top teams. Refreshements will be provided and a 50/50 drawing will take place during each session. May 22 - Columbia Screening of the Joplin Tornado
DATE: May 22, 2012
TIME: Shows at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
LOCATION: Ragtag Cinema, Columbia, MO
COST: $8.50 per ticket
On May 22, the one year anniversy of the Joplin tornado, filmmaker Chip Gubera tells the story of distress, survival, recovery and hope that was the EF 5 tornado devestating his hometown. Ragtag Cinema, in Columbia MO, will host two screenings of the film on May 22, with the first one commencing at 530 p.m. and the second one shortly after, around 6:30 p.m.
Part of the proceeds from the ticket sales will go to RebuildJoplin.org to help support the long-term recovery efforts.

May 24 - Brady's Relay for Life BBQ
Brady's Glass and Paint will be hosting a BBQ to benefit Relay for Life on Thursday, May 24th in their parking lot at 2501 Industrial Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65109 from 11am to 2pm.
Food available: Hamburgers, hot dogs, sodas, waters, brownies and baked beans. Call ahead for takeout orders! 635-7995.
May 26 - Homemade Icream Social
The St. James United Church of Christ will be hosting a Homemade Ice Cream Social on May 26, 2012 with serving from 3:30pm to 8:00pm. Featuring homemade ice cream along with hot chicken sandwiches and homemade pies. Morrison is located in Gasconade County 15 miles west of Hermann and 8 miles east of Chamois.
May 27 - Missouri Jaycees Wonderland Camp

Location: Lake of The Ozarks, MO
The Missouri Jaycees, or Junior Chamber, is a group of young men and women who have joined together to improve their lives and their community here in Missouri. Way back in 1970 the group adopted a summer camp program now known as Wonderland Camp. The Camp offers a fun and educational camp experience for mentally and physically challanged children and is deisgned to match their special needs and provide them with the maximum safety and freedom to enjoy nature.
Wonderland offers 11 sessions throughout the 2012 calendar and the exact dates can be found here.

The 2012 Relay For Life of Cole County will be held on June 1 and 2 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. at the Jefferson City Jaycees Fairgrounds. The Opening Ceremony will begin at 6 p.m., the Survivor Lap at 6:30 p.m., Fight Back is at 11 p.m., the Luminaria Ceremony is at 9 p.m., and the Closing Ceremony is at 5:30 a.m..

A Walk at the Runge Conservation Nature Center, 330 Commerce Drive, Jefferson City. 8am - 10.am (ages 18 and older). Join a naturalist for bird watching and shade-grown coffee.
